Chameleon Micas are a Color Shift Mica that with a change of angles & lighting give you a Most Awesome Look! This listing is for Grumpy which is a blue to purple superflash chameleon with hints of red - pigment. Please keep in mind that one gram is not a lot of product but it doesn't take much to make the effect work in a piece. Refer to the image to see how much a gram is (note that the photos showing quantity aren't the color of this pigment - it is actually Wicked Stepmother, we just used it as a stock photo to show quantity). We offer just over a gram in quantity to make sure you get at least what you pay for. Most companies offer one gram for $15-$18 and we want to keep this pigment at a fair price. These Chameleon Powders are designed to be used over a BLACK background for the best color shift effect. This is a cosmetic grade mica. Makeup Sponge Technique On A Tumbler - Using a small piece of glossy paper add a small amount of Chameleon Powder to the film and using a Makeup Sponge, coat the sponge lightly with powder, apply to a cup that has been prepped with Black Spray Paint, while in the "tacky" state drag the coated sponge over with long even strokes, making sure to coat entire cup. Continue until fully coated, going over any areas that have been missed. Finalize with epoxy layers. Transfer the unused powder back to your container with a simple tap to the back of the film, no waste or absorption into paper. Epoxy/Resin Technique – Prep your object with Black paint, let fully dry then add your Chameleon Powder to your epoxy and apply. With this micron particle size, less is more. Soaps – Mix Chameleon Powder with a Black Mica Powder Makeup & Eye Shadow – follow your instructions for turning into a pressed powder & apply over a Black base for a gorgeous effect. Dont forget to use a primer. Chameleon paint pigments work with any base clear, blender or binder for a fantastic paint job! Try this in epoxy resin, polishes, sealers or other coatings for a great custom effect. Treats 1 Quart of sprayable (32 oz) clear base or binder. Chameleon paint pearls are pigmented in color in the bag, spray out nicely, and give a nice color change in different light and angle.
