These substrates are designed to make the process clean, simple, and beginner friendly thanks to the removable protective masking on both sides. How to Use Peel the protective film from one side. Lightly sand that side with 400 grit sandpaper to help resin or paint adhere. Pour or paint your artwork. Allow the piece to fully cure or dry. Peel the masking from the back side to reveal perfectly clean edges. Removing the back masking pulls away drips and mess, leaving a crisp professional finish with almost zero cleanup. This instance is uncommon but we appreciate your understanding should it occur with your order. the coasters come with a brown paper protecting both sides. For best results we recommend peeling off only ONE side of the paper and leave the back side's paper. Pour your art onto the side that you removed the brown film from. Once your coaster has completely set you can remove the brown film from the bottom/back - leaving you with coasters that require no maintenance or cleanup. To remove the brown film just use anything with a hard edge along the side of the brown film to begin the tear.
